We recently completed a skunk removal project in Mississauga, near the intersection of Erin Mills Parkway and Dundas Street West. The homeowner had been hearing scratching noises under their deck for several nights and noticed a strong skunk oduor around the backyard. We then excavated the soil along the perimeter of the deck and installed galvanized L-shaped wire mesh, which was securely buried into the ground to prevent re-entry or future digging. A one-way door was strategically installed over the mesh at the entry hole, allowing the skunk to leave safely without being able to return.
After completing the installation, the soil was leveled, and the removed portion of the deck was fixed and restored to its original condition. Within 24 hours, the skunk had exited through the one-way door and did not return. The homeowner, located just off Homelands Drive, was extremely pleased with the fast, humane, and effective service.
