We recently completed a skunk removal project in Richmond Hill, where a homeowner living near Bayview Avenue and Crosby Avenue contacted us with concerns about skunks roaming around their backyard. The client had noticed frequent skunk activity in the evenings and was worried about potential damage, foul odor, and the risk of having the animals settle permanently on their property. After explaining the situation, they asked our team to inspect their property and safely remove the skunks.
Our technician visited the property and carried out a thorough inspection of both the backyard and the perimeter of the house. During the assessment, he discovered that the skunks had created a nest under the garden shed, which was the main source of the issue. Skunks often choose such spaces because they provide shelter and protection. To resolve the problem, the technician carefully dug around the base of the shed and installed a one-way door over the entry point. This humane solution allowed the skunks to exit freely but prevented them from returning. To ensure long-term prevention, galvanized L-shaped wire mesh was installed all around the shed before leveling and compacting the soil, leaving the area secure and neat.
The results were outstanding. The skunks safely left the nest and were unable to return, ensuring the property remained protected from future infestations. The client, who lives close to Yonge Street and Major Mackenzie Drive, was extremely pleased with both the professionalism of our technician and the finished appearance of their backyard.
