We recently completed a raccoon removal project in Markham after a homeowner near McCowan Road and 14th Avenue reached out to us. The client reported hearing heavy walking and scratching noises from the ceiling, especially at night, which strongly indicated wildlife activity in the attic.
Our technician began with a thorough inspection of the attic and roofline. During the inspection, we located an active raccoon entry point at the edge of the roof, along with several vulnerable areas that could have been exploited in the future. Once the entry site was confirmed, we proceeded with a humane one-way door installation. This allows the raccoon to exit safely while preventing it from re-entering the attic.
In addition to the one-way door, our team performed preventive screening work. We identified multiple weak spots along roof corners and soffits and reinforced them with heavy-duty screening to ensure the raccoons would not find another way inside.
The client was relieved to know that the noises they had been hearing were finally addressed. With the one-way door in place and all potential entry points secured, the property is now fully protected against future wildlife invasions.
