Recently, Brilliex Pest Control completed a raccoon removal project in Richmond Hill for a homeowner near Bayview Avenue and Major Mackenzie Drive. The client had been hearing loud noises, scratching, and thumping coming from the attic during the night. It quickly became clear that raccoons had made their way inside and were causing significant disturbance. Our technician arrived on site and performed a thorough inspection of the property. While examining the roofline, he discovered an entry hole under the soffit where the raccoons had forced their way in. To safely and humanely remove the animals, he installed a one-way door over the soffit opening. This device allows raccoons to exit the attic but prevents them from getting back inside. To ensure long-term protection, the technician also secured the damaged area using galvanized wire mesh, a durable material that prevents re-entry.
In addition to repairing the active entry point, our team identified another vulnerable spot at the front section of the roof that had the potential for future raccoon damage. The technician reinforced this area as well, ensuring the property was fully protected against future infestations.
