Our team recently completed a squirrel removal project at a residential property located in Richmond Hill. The homeowner contacted us after hearing scratching and movement noises coming from the attic. Concerned about possible damage and health hazards, they reached out to Brilliex Pest Control for help.
Upon inspection, our experienced technician identified a small entry hole at the corner of the roof, which was being used by squirrels to access the attic. To safely and humanely evict the squirrels, we installed a one-way door over the hole. This specialized door allows the squirrels to exit but prevents them from re-entering.
Knowing squirrel behavior, we anticipated that once blocked from their original entry point, they might attempt to chew their way back in through nearby corners. To prevent this, we reinforced the opposite corner—directly facing the entry hole—with galvanized wire mesh. This added protection helps ensure the squirrels cannot create a new entry and provides long-term prevention.
This home, located near Yonge Street and Major Mackenzie Drive, is now fully protected against further wildlife intrusion.
