Client Concern:
A resident in North York, Ontario, reached out to us after hearing persistent scratching and movement sounds coming from the roof of their home. The noises were especially noticeable during early mornings and evenings, raising concerns of a possible animal infestation.
Inspection and Immediate Action:
Our experienced technician arrived on-site the same day the call was received. Upon inspection, he discovered clear signs of squirrel activity—specifically, damage to the roof vent where the animal had chewed through to gain entry. Squirrels commonly exploit roofline weaknesses to nest in attics.
To safely and humanely evict the intruder, our technician installed a one-way door over the damaged roof vent. This specialized device allows the squirrel to exit the attic but prevents it from re-entering.
Prevention and Permanent Solution:
In addition to the one-way door, a full exterior inspection was conducted. The technician identified several other vulnerable areas around the home, including:
-
Plumbing vent pipes
-
Roofline corners and junctions
-
Other roof vents and side gaps
To ensure a permanent solution, durable galvanized screening was installed over all potential entry points. This proactive exclusion method guarantees long-term protection from future infestations.
Client Outcome:
The homeowner was extremely satisfied with the quick response, professional workmanship, and thorough service. They were happy to know their home was protected with a long-lasting, humane solution. The client described it as the best squirrel removal service in North York.
